Nir Horowitz is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist from Tel Aviv, now based in New York. Born in 1996, he has contributed to over 30 full-length albums, including a record that reached #1 in Israel in 2019 according to leading station 88FM.

Nir’s work spans a wide range of genres—punk rock, indie, hip-hop, R&B, and soul—yet his creative philosophy remains constant: the idea leads the way. He seeks authentic connections with artists, prioritizing collaboration and the shared experience of the studio over genre boundaries.

From 2021–2023, Nir lived in Nashville, where he worked at the highest level of the city’s recording scene—as a producer, engineer, and versatile session player. During this period, he also served as a shadow producer on numerous sync placements, sharpening his skills in creating music for film, television, and commercial use.

He was also part of the team writing and producing for the rising band Fathers of Peace, who are currently gaining momentum with their distinctive sound and growing international following.

Now rooted in Brooklyn, Nir is building momentum under his producer alias SoundsByCatt, releasing collaborations with local talent on a consistent basis while carving out his place in the city’s vibrant music scene.
